Vital Pitching, Judging, and Special Awards Information
Hi participants! As you begin to finalize your presentations, practice your pitches, and register for time slots, we’d like to offer some information about how you should prepare for your HackATL pitch.
First, you’re going to want to make sure that Zoom screen share works for you. If you’re using a Mac, make sure you know the Apple ID that is registered on it (typically your username, but check your ‘accounts’ to make sure!). When you’re presenting, you need to want to pin the video of the timekeeper in your room and share your audio while screen-sharing, so make sure you check out the screenshots below if you don’t know how to do that! Again, pitches start at 10AM ET tomorrow, so make sure you have registered for a time slot by 2:00AM ET tonight!
Next, you’re going to want to make sure that you downloaded the exact same presentation you submitted in Devpost. Again, the EXACT SAME presentation you put in Devpost. We will be attending the pitches, and if we notice discrepancies, we will not hesitate to disqualify you, so please respect this. There is no dress code for the pitches, so just bring yourself, your team, and your presentation. The link to preliminary presentations is http://tinyurl.com/HackATLprelim.
If your presentation uses echoAR or Google Cloud, please make sure that you specify which one(s) you used on the sign up form for pitches if you want to be eligible for their sponsored prizes.
EchoAR is awarding various prizes, including a $50 Amazon gift card, 1 month FREE Business Tier access, and a feature in the echoAR newsletter sent to investors and the AR/VR ecosystem.
Google Cloud is awarding a backpack, pillow, trophy, and water bottle (pictured below) for the Best Use of Google Cloud and an invitation to apply for up to $5000 of additional cloud credits and guidance from Google developers.

We strongly encourage you to attend as we will be going over key announcements for those advancing to the final round. You’ve done so much work to get to this point, and we’re so proud of the distance you’ve gone in such a short time. All that’s left to do is take a seat, turn on your mic, and present. Trust us, you’re gonna do great.
If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to contact us through our email, contact@eevm.org, or send us a message on the Slack. We hope you enjoyed Day 2 of HackATL!
